Prosciutto wrapped Brie

My sister turned me on to the love of melty, wrapped and baked brie, and I quickly saw the opportunity to adapt it to my grill. This recipe can be adjusted to suit your preferences– and you could definitely use puff pastry instead of prosciutto. The jam/jelly can definitely be changed up too!

Ingredients:

  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 2 tbsp spicy pepper jam (or a fruit jelly)
  • 8″ round of brie cheese
  • Crackers to serve on the side

Directions:

Arrange prosciutto slices in a star shape, overlapping slightly. Remove brie from plastic wrap and score rind on both sides. Place in center of prosciutto star, and top with jam or jelly. Fold prosciutto around cheese to fully cover.

Bake in a 350* grill for 40 minutes, or until cheese is melty.

Baķe for 40 minutes? That seems like an awful long time. I would think that the prosciutto would be air dried by then. And the Brìe ready to puddle once the skin was pierced.

Good question! We like our brie cooked until melted. You can definitely cook it shorter for a more firm texture!

Yes! I would choose something like cherry for some extra flavor!
